D and D - thank you for letting me photograph you! Next time, I'll either bring my lights or we'll do a session in the daytime!

Check out this amazing new food blog: Dina's Seaside Kitchen and Pantry. Gorgeous recipes from a laid-back home chef, lots of veggies, and inspiration!
P.S. How cool would it be to just wear your orange bikini to work?!
I'm pretty fortunate to have been exposed to lots of different types of foods during my lifetime, but I'm stumped and so were my travel companions on the above. Though I was surrounded by a chef, a lifelong cook, and several foodies, this fruit is still a mystery...Is it mamoncillo or longan, possibly? N. described it as an "inside out grape" and it has a dark inedible pit inside. Not too sweet and very fleshy. Anyone?
I love to photograph images that make up a chronological series. Like, here's step A, then B, and so on. Climbing the tree was not my idea, but it inspired this little series on where macadamia nuts really come from. I'd like to point out that the tree climbing is optional, as you can always just shake the branches from the ground. Be sure to cover your head (and camera!) if you go the shaking route.
Have a good heavy rock to smash the pods to get to the meat.
